With some of the best surfing beaches in the country, there are several surf shops in Bude. For hiring and purchasing wetsuits, boards and much more, try Zuma Jay surf shop.  

For courses and tuition, try Outdoor Adventure, Atlantic Pursuits or Big Blue. For other watersports – see Tamar Lakes.

If you prefer two wheels and didn't bring your bicycles, thre is bike hire in Bude, at the famous Camel Trail and Tarka Trail.

To while away a couple of hours requiring slightly less effort, you could go and see a film at our local cinema. The Rebel Cinema re-opened in August 2011 following extensive refurbishment. Refreshments are available on site. Disabled access and free parking.

This is by no means a definite A-Z of activities in and around Bude, we are sure you can probably find just as many more! Lots can be done without the need of expensive gear or pre-booking, others can be enjoyed whilst joining outdoor adventure groups for the day or weekend, and some really need to be pre-booked.
